{"id":1790,"date":"2020-03-30T14:28:53","date_gmt":"2020-03-30T18:28:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/crfc-fcrc.ca\/?p=1790"},"modified":"2020-03-30T14:55:40","modified_gmt":"2020-03-30T18:55:40","slug":"community-radio-fund-of-canada-welcomes-new-executive-director","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/crfc-fcrc.ca\/en\/community-radio-fund-of-canada-welcomes-new-executive-director\/","title":{"rendered":"Community Radio Fund of Canada welcomes new Executive Director"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For immediate release<br \/>\n<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">March 30, 2020<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Community Radio Fund of Canada welcomes new Executive Director<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Ottawa <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2014 The Board of Directors of The Community Radio Fund of Canada (CRFC) is pleased to announce that Alex Freedman took on the position of Executive Director as of March 23, 2020.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWe are very pleased that Mr. Freedman has accepted the position, and we look forward to the direction and commitment he will provide the organization,\u00a8 said Brenda Grunau, Chair of the CRFC Board of Directors. \u201cWe have conducted a thorough and intensive candidate search and are really pleased that Alex is able to join the organization.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Alex Freedman comes to the CRFC with many years of executive management experience related to broadcast journalism, national non-profit organizations, and post-secondary education institutions. He also brings several years of frontline work as a journalist and senior producer to his new position.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Most recently Mr. Freedman was Deputy Chief\u00a0 of Staff to the National Chief of the Assembly of First Nations in Ottawa. Previously, Mr. Freedman was Chief of Staff to the President of Laurentian University located in Sudbury, Ontario.
