Community radio is more than a broadcaster.
Community radio is radio by and for you and your neighbours. The voices you hear are living the same challenges you are and are invested in your community.
Community radio stations broadcast in more than 65 languages and are key in connecting immigrants to Canada.
Community radio gets information to those who need it immediately.
Community radio supports our economy by giving local businesses access to their customers at a fraction of the cost of commercial radio.
Community radio is not for profit and run by members of the community it serves.
The Community Radio Fund of Canada is uniquely dedicated to funding our community radio sector. Our structure and mission ensures that this support is meeting the current needs of these stations for maximum effect and impact. Our founders and volunteers have worked to create an accountable and meaningful operation that both our stations and funders can trust.
We are actively looking for partners interested in supporting our stations in a wide variety of ways. Projects ranging from data collection to improving the ability to broadcast in the evolving digital environment and supporting the full spectrum of diverse Canadians.
If you have the resources to support Canadian communities we are open to working together. Please don’t hesitate to connect with us.
