Listen Up! CFUZ Speaker Series
As part of their project Listen Up! CFUZ Speaker Series, CFUZ-FM created a workshop and public lecture series designed to remedy their difficulty in attracting volunteers with first-hand radio experience. The station enlisted the help of expert broadcasters, musicians, station managers and podcast producers from across the country to provide training to existing and prospective volunteers, and to inspire community members to get involved in community radio.
President of CFUZ Jackie Del Rizzo is confident that the project will have a lasting impact on the station as “these [recorded talks] will serve as training tools for new programmers as well as excellent local spoken word programming for our station.”
