Le Pontiac à l'avant-plan

La radio communautaire du Pontiac (CHIP-FM) recently completed their project that aimed to produce new local content programming. The four new programs produced touched on a wide variety of topics of interest to local residents, such as current events, societal issues, local history and resident success stories. This project was a success, particularly the news and current events program Pontiac Magazine, for which “nearly 20% of Pontiac’s population” tuned in.

“This was a structuring project for our station,” says François Carrier, Executive Director of the station. He adds that the station was able to attract new listeners by catch the interest of “members of the public who did not necessarily listen to the radio in the past.”

Many of the interviews and episodes produced by the station are available for streaming online (in French only): http://chipfm.com/-Entrevues-?lang=fr
